Primus was the King of Octopon. He was known as a good and just ruler and a man of honor. King Primus embarked on a quest to find the 13 Treasures of Rule in the same year of Ren's birth. Along with Avagon, the King was captured by Bloth and held prisoner on his ship for 17 years. Primus escaped as an old man and was rescued at sea by his son who grew up to be a lighthouse worker. He unknowingly saved his father's life, not aware of his heritage as the Prince of Octopon. Primus gave Ren his final words, telling him to seek out a wise sage name Alamar for clues on seeking the treasures of rule. He then washed out to sea upon dying ashore in his son's arms.
